Tragedy strikes a Syrian family in Aleppo, starting a chain reaction of events involving five different families in four different countries as they struggle to survive and forge a new life. Saturday, March 14The Crafter’s Market takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday inside Station Square, 200 S. Main St., in Historic Downtown Pocatello. Visitors can shop a rotating selection of local vendors offering jewelry, art, home décor, plants and more, with new makers featured each week.

The 15th annual Gate City Brewfest is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 14, in restaurants, breweries, pubs and bars throughout downtown Pocatello. Tickets are available in advance at www.gatecitybrewfest.com for $30 each if purchased before 5:30 p.m. Friday. At the door, tickets will be $40 each and will be available beginning at noon Saturday at the three ticket check-in locations — the Pocatello Elks Lodge, Center Street Clubhouse and at the Downtown Center at Lookout Point.
