The high school football state playoffs resume Friday and Saturday for local schools.

Firth’s game Friday against New Plymouth at 5:45 p.m. at Holt Arena kicks off 2A state semifinal action, with West Side’s matchup against Declo beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Firth/New Plymouth game.

Highland hits the road for the first time this postseason and plays Friday at 7 p.m. at Rocky Mountain for a spot in the 5A state playoff championship game.

Playoff games continue Saturday, with Shelley traveling to Fruitland to face the Grizzlies in a rematch of last season’s 3A state title game. Saturday’s game is at 1 p.m., with the winner earning a spot in this year’s title game. Snake River and Gooding play Saturday at 2:45 p.m. at Holt Arena in the 2A state playoff semifinals.

Carey and Deary also face off Saturday at noon at Holt Arena in the semifinals of the 1A DII state playoffs.
