FORT HALL — A 35-year-old Fort Hall resident was found dead in a sauna at a recreation center on Monday morning.

Fort Hall police and Fort Hall Fire and EMS were dispatched to the Timbee Hall recreation center around 10:20 a.m. Monday for the report of a woman believed to be dead inside a sauna at the center, the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes said in a Monday news release.

Upon arrival, police located Cheyenne Walema inside the sauna, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the Tribes said.

Through the preliminary investigation, no foul play is suspected and an autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

Timbee Hall will be closed until Dec. 27, the Tribes said. This case is currently under investigation by the FBI and the Fort Hall Police Department.
