Wednesday, June 3Revive @ 5 returns with a free concert from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Lookout Point in Pocatello. Best By Yesterday will be live on stage, with food being served by Angels Tacos, Palate Street Bistro and The Yellowstone Restaurant.
Ethan James, with opener Shawn Barnby, will perform live starting at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at First National Bar, 232 W. Center St. in Pocatello.
Thursday, June 4NeighborWorks Pocatello will host the 13th annual Pay-It-Forward BBQ from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at Caldwell Park. The event is free and there will be hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, face painting and the Lamb Weston fry truck. Get a free potted plant by pledging to pay-it-forward in some way.
There will be a free art walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4, in Idaho Falls. Work from artists around the region and the world will have their work displayed at community galleries, museums and artisan stores. Refreshments, live music and artist demos are available at some venues. Some participating venues are the Willowtree Gallery, ARTitorium on Broadway, the Spare Room Press and The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho. ISU begins Summer Concerts on the Quad at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 4, with The Opskamatrists, a ska/reggae/punk band from Idaho Falls that have played many shows around Eastern Idaho and the Western United States. Also lined up for future Thursdays are Jay Hurley and Evan Norman on June 11 at 6 p.m., Dawson Moon performing on June 18 at 6 p.m. and the Aaron Ball Band on June 25 at 6 p.m. All are welcome to attend these free community concerts.
Live jazz trio Speakeasy performs in the Yellowstone Lounge, 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, featuring jazz classics from the 1930s in the style of Benny Goodman, with Keith Ward on clarinet/sax, Freddy Gildersleeve on guitar and Tanya Johnson on upright. Admission is free.
Station Square, 200 S. Main St. in Pocatello, hosts open mic night every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.

Friday, June 5“The AI Doc or How I Became an Apocaloptimist” plays at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, at ISU’s Bengal Theater. A father-to-be tries to figure out what is happening with all this AI insanity. What results is a hand-made, eye-opening documentary about the most powerful technology humanity has ever created and what’s at stake if we get it wrong. Rated PG-13. Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU employees and free for ISU students with a valid Bengal ID.
The June First Friday Art Walk is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, throughout downtown Pocatello. This month’s event guide listing participating locations will appear in the Friday Idaho State Journal and at historicdowntownpocatello.com.
The seventh annual Poky Paddle is set for 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Centennial Park in Pocatello. The proceeds from this event supports Portneuf River Vision. Come enjoy vendors, food trucks and floating the river.
Gate City Grays will host their season opener with a double header at 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Halliwell Park, 1100 W. Alameda Road in Pocatello. Tickets are $5 and kids 8 and under get in free with an adult.
Saturday, June 6The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through October at Lookout Point in downtown Pocatello.
The Crafter’s Market takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday inside Station Square, 200 S. Main St., in Historic Downtown Pocatello. Visitors can shop a rotating selection of local vendors offering jewelry, art, home décor, plants and more, with new makers featured each week.
Presented by Cue & Brews and The Office Bar will host a parking lot party starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6, in Pocatello.
