INKOM — A Grace woman and Montana man were injured in a wreck on Interstate 15 near Inkom that shut down the freeway for several hours on Saturday evening.
The crash on Interstate 15 southbound occurred around 6:10 p.m. when a 29-year-old woman from Grace driving a Jeep Cherokee SUV rear-ended a travel trailer being towed by a Ford F-150 pickup driven by an 84-year-old man from Helena, Montana, Idaho State Police said.
The crash caused the trailer to overturn into the median.
The Grace woman and Montana man were both transported via ambulances to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Their names and conditions haven't been released.
State police said the woman was not wearing a seat belt while the man was wearing a seat belt.
The wreck caused state police to shut down Interstate 15 for five hours.
Assisting state police at the scene were Bannock County Search and Rescue and Bannock County sheriff's deputies.
