John S. Farnsworth, longtime Pocatello resident and Pocatello’s oldest living fireman, turned 99 years old this Fourth of July.

The Bannock County Historical Museum, 3000 Avenue of the Chiefs in Pocatello, is holding a small open house celebration in his honor on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. There will be a special presentation from the Pocatello Fire Department at noon, and light refreshments will be served. There will also be the 1916 LaFrance fire engine that Farnsworth used to drive back in the day.
