POCATELLO — A 46-year-old Pocatello woman is facing drug charges in Bannock County.

Pocatello police say they stopped Kristi A. Palmer in the area of Main and Young for riding a bike without a headlamp around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

Based on her behavior, they asked and received permission to search her backpack. Police say they subsequently discovered two hypodermic needles, one of which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Palmer has since been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for using drug paraphernalia or possessing it with the intent to use it, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records.
