POCATELLO — Vince and Patty Ghettalae have a proven track record of operating successful ethnic restaurants in Magic Valley and Eastern Idaho.

The couple, who live in Idaho Falls, opened their fourth restaurant in the region, Gin Sen Noodle and Ramen Bar, on March 1 in the former Pita Pit location at 507 E. Center St.

The restaurant offers authentic Thai food, international noodle dishes and Japanese ramen bowls, which consist of wheat noodles served with various toppings in beef or fish-based broth.

Their entrees are in the $10 to $14 price range. They’ve heavily renovated the space they’re leasing.

They also own Krung Thep Thai Cuisine, located in Idaho Falls at 366 Shoup Ave., Bangkok Kitchen, 260 N. Main St. in Driggs, and a Taste of Thai, 837 Pole Line Road, in Twin Falls. The business will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays and from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Vince Ghettalae plans to soon offer online ordering and delivery service in Pocatello from a common website that will also include his other restaurants.

They’ve been drawing large crowds since opening day and are still hiring staff and working out the kinks of operating.

In 1985, Vince Ghettalae moved from Thailand to California, where he worked as a salesman for a bread company. He moved to Driggs to open his first restaurant in 2011.

“My wife was working in restaurants in Taiwan,” Vince Ghettalae said. “She has experience in that field.”
