PRESTON — The Franklin County coroner has identified the 23-year-old Georgia man killed in a weekend rollover crash on U.S. Highway 91 north of Preston.

John G. Mills IV, of Cumming, Georgia, died Saturday at the scene of the crash, Franklin County Coroner Ron Smellie said Monday.

Mills was a passenger in a 2005 Toyota Highlander SUV being driven by a 22-year-old man, also from Cumming, when the vehicle left the southbound roadway around 9:45 a.m. Saturday. The driver overcorrected and the SUV rolled over a guardrail, Idaho State Police said.

The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. No updates on his condition have been provided. Both men were wearing seatbelts.

The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin County Fire Department assisted at the scene.
