Awards were presented to the top 4-H participants during the annual Power County Fair Awards last week at the Power County Fairgrounds. Power County Commissioner Delane Anderson presented the awards.

    The food awards, sponsored by ConAgra Foods were given to: outstanding junior foods exhibitors, McKenzie Long and Brooklyn Woodworth; outstanding intermediate food exhibitor Stockton Woodworth; and outstanding food exhibitor, Brandon Long.

    Pen and stall awards, sponsored by the Power County Fair board were given to: Sod Williams, beef barn; Martin and Jeffery Law, swine barn; Kade Bethke and Breanna Baumeister, lamb barn; Sydney Cottam, horse barn; Payton Kelsey, rabbit barn.

    Dog awards, also sponsored by the Power County Fairboard were given to: McKinnon Bradley, top dog handler; and Olivia Thaxton, high scoring obedience and top beginning dog trainer.

    The trail class award, sponsored by Sunrise Feed, was given to Kodee Swearingen for top points in trail class.

    Fehringer Arena awarded a snaffle headstall to Cooper Bradshaw for top points in the snaffle trail class.

    Halter showmanship awards, sponsored by Porath Quarter Horses, were given to: first-year halter showman, Mattie Jo Nugent; junior halter showman, Kodee Swearingen; intermediate halter showman, Maddie Wagoner; senior halter showman, Rochelle Whitnah.

    The Jaime Meyers Memorial buckle, sponsored by Meyers Ranch, was presented to Gus Phillips as the first year horse member who best exemplifies the 4-H spirit.

    Soft Touch Car Wash awarded a belt buckle to Kodee Swearningen as the outstanding junior 4-H horse exhibitor.

    Fitch Ranch awarded a headstall to Tristen Hamann for second place as the junior 4-H horse exhibitor, Madalyn Porath as the second place intermediate 4-H horse exhibitor and Lexie Lehman and the second place senior 4-H horse exhibitor.

    Whitnah Quarter Horses and Snake River Cattle awarded a belt buckle to Maddie Wagoner as the outstanding intermediate 4-H horse exhibitor. Les Schwab Tire awarded a belt buckle to Rochelle Whitnah as the outstanding senior 4-H horse exhibitor.

    AMS sponsored the working ranch horse unit one 4-H award to Zach Porath for showing skill and excellence in the working ranch horse events. Gehring Agri-Business sponsored the working ranch horse unit two 4-H award to Cooper Bradshaw and Meyers Ranch presented an award to Rochelle Whitnah in the working ranch horse unit three.

    Lake Channel Ranch, Kevin and Tammy Ramsey, awarded a saddle blanket to Sod Williams as the second-place exhibitor in working ranch horse unit one, Cassidy Swanson as the second place exhibitor in working ranch horse unit two and Caleb Bradshaw and Travis Dahlke as the second place exhibitors in working ranch horse unit three.

    The final award of the presentation was presented by Melvin and Teresa Wagoner of Flying W Ranch and Lynn and Karen Hunter, of Silver Spur Ranch, to Lexie Lehman, Travis Dahlke and Madalyn Porath as the top team sorting team.
