IDAHO FALLS — Great teams come to play in games highly touted or lacking in hype.

    Highland did just that, dismantling Idaho Falls in a 61-14 win at Ravsten Stadium on Thursday after beating Coeur d’Alene last week.

    The result was expected because the Rams outscored its previous five opponents by an average score of 39-13. The Idaho Falls Tigers (1-4 overall, 0-1 5A 5-6 District) had averaged 18 points while their opponents had averaged 33.

    The Rams’ defense presented no holes for the Idaho Falls defense to punch through. The Tigers were unable to attain a first down in four drives in the first quarter and possessed no success thereafter.

    Dakota Tillotson led the Highland offense, completing 11 of 22 passes for 227 yards in addition to throwing four touchdown passes and only one interception.

    The senior quarterback is in a good spot with a bevy of weapons around him. Often in the first half, short passes would turn into long gains.

    There was none bigger than the 69-yard touchdown pass to Garret Christensen, who ran down the sideline and broke a tackle on his way to the end zone. He also contributed 103 yards rushing on 17 carries.

    Highland senior Tamalii Cambell delivered as well. It was in a variety of ways as he scored via punt return, rush and on a reception.

    Highland (6-0 overall, 2-0 5A 5-6 District) returns home to play Idaho Falls Skyline next Friday.
