The Bannock County Fair kicks off Monday at the county fairgrounds in Downey.
Over the course of the six-day event, spectators will have the opportunity to attend rodeos, live concerts, a parade, car show, 4-H exhibits and more. The fair ends next Saturday.
This year’s entertainment includes the tribute band Forever Simon & Garfunkel, hypnotist Richard Barker, comedian Etta May, country rock band Jägertown, local “American Idol” star Paige Anne and, among others, country artist Neal McCoy.

In addition to the Bannock County Fair, other Southeast Idaho counties also have fairs this month.

Then, the Eastern Idaho State Fair returns to the fairgrounds in Blackfoot from Sept. 1 to 9. This year’s grandstand entertainment includes Incubus, comedian Jim Gaffigan, country music star Walker Hayes, pro rodeo, tractor pulls and demolition derby.
