As Thanksgiving break concludes, the Bengal Theater at ISU’s Pond Student Union opens back up this Sunday with acclaimed movie, “It Ends With Us” showing at 4 and 7 p.m. Based on the best selling novel, Blake Lively stars as Lily Bloom who moves to Boston to chase her lifelong dream of opening her own business. A chance meeting with a charming neurosurgeon soon sparks an intense connection and relationship, but when Lily’s first love suddenly reenters her life, her relationship gets upended, leaving her with an impossible choice. On Monday night, enjoy free screenings of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 7:45 and 8:20 in the Bengal Theater, following the annual Idaho State University Christmas tree lighting, which is on the ISU quad at 7 p.m. When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees, Lucy suggests he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but it is a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus’ help to learn the meaning of Christmas.

“Transformers One” will be shown next Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Bengal Theater, with a 4 p.m. matinee also. The untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, better known as sworn enemies, but who once were friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever. And the final movie of the semester, “White Bird,” plays Sunday, December 8, at 4 and 7 p.m. in the Bengal Theater. Based on the acclaimed novel from the “Wonder” series, when a boy is expelled from school for bullying, his grandmother finally reveals her own story of courage that occurred during her youth in Nazi-occupied France, where a boy shelters her from Nazi capture and the boy’s mother risks everything to keep her safe. Also on December 8, between showings of “White Bird,” the Pocatello Film Society will show trailers of potential movies for next semester right after the first show ends and right before the second show starts so people can vote on movies for next semester.
