Southeastern Idaho Public Health is pleased to announce it has received a $4,000 grant from the Idaho Community Foundation. These funds will support its Diaper Bank which provides diapers to low-income families in Southeast Idaho.

Diapers are a basic necessity that cannot be purchased with SNAP or WIC, and the Diaper Bank Program at SIPH exists to address this largely unknown and chronically unmet need. Funds from the Idaho Community Foundation will help SIPH provide diapers to low-income families in need of this valuable resource. “We would like to thank the ICF. These funds will go a long way in our ability to diaper infants and toddlers in Southeast Idaho.”

Another way the community can support SIPH’s mission is to host diaper drives. Diaper drives bring resources to families in need, but they also raise awareness of the diaper issue and engage the community in SIPH’s mission.

“We are always in need of individuals, businesses, schools, community organizations and places of worship to run diaper drives and fundraisers to support the Diaper Bank,” said Dana Solomon, Diaper Bank Program coordinator. “The diapers go out just as quickly as they come in, so we are looking for year-round partnerships and support to help us really make a difference with diapers.”
