POCATELLO — Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 is pleased to announce the selection of Jodi Prestwich as the new Principal of Tyhee Elementary School. Prestwich will replace Mr. Stuart Johnson, who will assume a new role as assistant principal at Irving Middle School on July 1.

Prestwich has worked for 15 years in the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District. She worked for 10 years as a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher at Jefferson and Edahow elementary schools and the last five years as a Title I Interventionist at Greenacres Elementary School. Prior to starting her education career, Prestwich earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management and organization at Idaho State University. She worked in health care administration and owned her own business for 20 years. Prestwich received her Master of Education Administration degree from ISU this month.

Prestwich is deeply committed to the school district’s mission and vision of high levels of Visible Learning for all students. She is looking forward to working collaboratively and building relationships with Tyhee Elementary’s community of highly qualified staff, students and parents.

In her spare time, Prestwich enjoys spending time with family, attending concerts, camping and being in the outdoors with her husband, Rick, and their Labrador, Wrangler.
