After a fire broke out Thursday at the production plant at Reed’s Dairy causing multimillion dollars in damages, community members are invited to support the company by showing up dressed as cows.

The moo-vement will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Reed’s Dairy at 2660 W. Broadway St. The event will be capped off with the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce giving the Reed family a “special gift,” a Chamber news release said.

Other organizations within the community have sprung into action to help with the event.

Chick-fil-A will be at the event with its signature cow mascot and it’ll provide attendees free cookies. Good Co. Home Loans and Wikilicious also will be contributing hot chocolate for those in attendance. Bee the DJ also will be at the event to provide music.

The idea to dress as a cow is a way for members of the community to show support for the dairy.

“It is our job as the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber to show support to our local businesses at all times, but especially when tragedy strikes,” Chamber CEO Paul Baker said in the release. “We are grateful to be a part of a community that steps up and puts in extra time and money to lend a helping hand. It truly demonstrates that we are Greater Together.”
