After three years in business, a local woman has helped brides-to-be find affordable wedding dresses while they prepare for their special day.

Heather Gonzales, owner of Here Comes The Bride On a Budget, said her business started as a website in 2023. She was inspired to start it while preparing for her own wedding.

“I was having a very hard time finding a wedding dress that I could afford and could fit me,” Gonzales said.

While searching, Gonzales scrolled through TikTok and found videos showing wedding dresses. She won a bundle of dresses that were sent to her house.

“I ended up with 19 dresses that came in that bundle,” Gonzales said. “I ended up selling them on Facebook Marketplace.”

After that experience, Gonzales decided to start her business because she wanted to help other brides in similar situations.

“It all started noticing there was a need to help people afford dresses,” Gonzales said.

Here Comes The Bride On a Budget started in her mother’s basement, Gonzales said. It eventually moved to her friend’s business before Gonzales found her own location at 155 S. Second Ave in Pocatello.

“I’ve been in my current location since May of 2025,” Gonzales said.

Gonzales found her own place thanks to a grant from Business Women of Pocatello. She is heavily involved in the group.

“I also am serving on the 2026 Business Women of Pocatello Board as the vice president,” Gonzales said.

The business has attracted interest. Gonzales said customers are making appointments, and everyone is excited to see the available dresses.

“I keep pretty busy,” Gonzales said. “It’s starting to pick up now that people are shopping for spring and summer dresses.”

The best part about operating the business for Gonzales is meeting new people. Many brides come with family members, and she gets to talk to them about wedding plans.

“One came with her mom, sister and grandma,” Gonzales said. “It’s fun to tell stories about upcoming wedding plans.”

Here Comes The Bride On a Budget offers a wide variety of dresses. Some are preowned, and some are brand new. The sizes range from 0 to 30. Each dress costs $500 or less.

“I have an assortment of things to choose from,” Gonzales said. “It’s very size inclusive. It was important that I could have sizes that people could try on and see how it fit them.”
