GREELEY, Colo. - Idaho State suffered a 25-22, 25-17, 22-25, 25-23 loss at Northern Colorado on Thursday that all but ended the Bengals' Big Sky tournament hopes.

Weber State beat Northern Arizona in five sets Thursday to clinch the fifth postseason berth. With three matches remaining on its schedule, Idaho State (9-18, 4-9 Big Sky) trails sixth-place Sacramento State by 2 1/2 games.

Jaclyn Hone and Britta Bartschi led the Bengals with 13 kills each, while freshman setter Karissa Legaux racked up 30 assists. But the Bengals had no answer for the pinpoint passing from Northern Colorado setter Lauren Carter, who had 50 assists. The Bears improved to 16-7 and 10-4 in the conference.

Idaho State next travels to face Northern Arizona (13-10, 5-9) at 7 p.m. Saturday. The Lumberjacks lie in seventh place in the conference standings, half a game ahead of the Bengals.
