Hurricanes Camp Opens Hockey

The Carolina Hurricanes are opening preseason camp as the reigning Stanley Cup champion. That meant Thursday's practice was a time to move forward to focusing on the challenge ahead. The Hurricanes closed out the Vegas Golden Knights in a six-game series barely three months ago. The months since included a victory parade in downtown Raleigh and players getting their individual days to celebrate with the sport's cherished trophy. Carolina top-line center Sebastian Aho said winning the Cup was a huge accomplishment but “it doesn't really help us today.”
