What's at stake:

The chance to play a heavy favorite to a close game. Idaho State hasn't done that yet this season.

Key Matchup:

Luke Nevill vs. Idaho State's frontcourt. The Bengals will need everything they've got inside to guard and score against Utah's 7-foot-2 center. The All-America candidate is averaging 17.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season.

Three things about Utah:

- Utah started its season in bizarre fashion by losing to Division II Southwest Baptist 80-79. The Utes allowed 16 3-pointers in that game but have won five straight since.

- Utah is currently out-rebounding its opponents 37-27 a game.

- The Utes are impressively ranked sixth in the RPI.

Happy ending if …

Idaho State takes open shots and makes them. The Bengals are yet to shoot better than 50 percent in a game this season.

Sad ending if …

Fewer than 3,000 fans come out for the game. Utah, much like BYU, was added to the home schedule so fans would get to watch a big-name opponent play in Holt Arena. If a small crowd turns out for the game, why bother ever scheduling the Utes again?

Bottom Line:

Idaho State played Utah tough a year ago on the road. If the Bengals can duplicate that effort at home, it would be a nice confidence boost heading into another tough game at Wisconsin.
