LACROSSE

    • Lacrosse camp for new and returning players begins July 1 and runs through July 24, Monday and Wednesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. at Cotant Park in Chubbuck. Boys and girls in grades four through high school may participate. Each participant must have a current U.S. Lacrosse number. Go to uslacrosse.org and register (if prompted for team name enter Pocatello.  Membership fee is $25). Membership with U.S. lacrosse is necessary for insurance coverage. Members also receive a year subscription to U.S. Lacrosse magazine. Camp registration fee is $25. Helmet and pads will be provided. Participants need to bring their own stick (few available to borrow), mouth guard, U.S. lacrosse number and water. Boys must wear protective cup. INLINE HOCKEY

    • Sign up for H & R Inline Hockey’s summer youth season now. Practices will start July 8 and go through August. H & R will take registrations up to July 15. Cost will be $60 per person with two practices per week. Games will be announced later. This league is for kids ages 4 thru 16. TRACK AND FIELD

    • The 2013 Simplot Games Track Camp will be held July 10-12 on ISU’s campus. Clinicians include Olympians Dick Fosbury, Willie Banks, LaTanya Sheffield, sprints specialist George Walcott and ISU track coaches Dave Nielsen, Brian Janssen and Jed Sion.     • The Southeast Idaho Youth Football League is now accepting registration forms for the upcoming 2013 season. It is for players who will be in fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the fall.     • The All State Football Game is looking for the top current seventh grade football players to represent team Idaho. This team will take on the Treasure Valley all stars in the eighth Annual All State Game. The game will be broadcast on Idahosports.com.     • The Southeast Idaho Senior Games will be hosted in the Pocatello/Chubbuck area, July 6-13. Track and field will be held at Davis Field July 8 and 9, basketball is July 6 at Reed Gym, cycling at various areas July 10-13 and dance at the Pocatello Senior Center July 11. BASKETBALL

    • The Trinity Hoops Boys and Girls Summer Skills Camp will be held July 9-10 at Sho-Ban High School in Fort Hall. The camp is for children, ages 8-14, and will run both days from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with lunch provided. Campers will receiver personal intsruction from current and former Idaho State men’s and women’s basketball players. The camp will cover fundamentals of shooting, offensive skills, ball handling, passing and will feature contests. Cost is $85 per camper, and included a T-shirt, basketball and awards.     • Any future, current or former runners from Century High School are invited to participate in morning runs that start June 11. GOLF

    • The Sixth Annual Frank Rowberry Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Highland Golf Course July 27. This year’s proceeds will go to the Idaho Food Bank Backpack Program. The tournament is open to anyone with any skill level. The cost is $200 dollars a team (four-person teams) which does not included cart rental. The format is a four-person scramble and will start at 8 a.m. Tee prizes this year are Frank Rowberry Memorial Golf Tournament hoodies. There will be a barbecue lunch following the tournament at the Highland Golf Course along with raffle prizes, winners prizes, closest to the pin prizes and lots of fun.     • Preston Golf and Country Club will be hosting a mixed (couples) scramble Friday, July 12. It will be a 6 a.m. shotgun start with a maximum of 30 teams. Cost is $20 for members with a cart and $30 for non-members with a cart. A handicap is not required. Ten dollars per team will be paid out in gift certificates. Dessert will be served after play.     • Preston Golf and Country Club is now taking registration for its summer Junior Golf Program. Group classes start Wednesday, June 12 and run every Wednesday through the summer until August 7. Advanced juniors will start at 7 a.m. Juniors 12 and over will start at 8 a.m. Juniors age 9-11 will start at 9:30 a.m. while juniors 8 and under will start at 11 a.m. Lessons last for an hour and fifteen minutes each week. The cost for the program is $60 for non-members and $35 for members. DANCING AND GYMNASTICS

    • Registration for the City of Pocatello Community Recreation Center’s fall dance and gymnastic classes is under way. The dance and gymnastics schedules and online registration are available by visiting the Parks and Recreation Department page at www.pocatello.us. Registration can also be done at the community Recreation Center on 144 Wilson Avenue. Classes begin in September and end with recitals in January. Class tuition is $20 per month. BOXING

    • The Gate City Boxing Club on 323 N. Main is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 boxing season. Any person, male or female, ages eight through 34 are eligible to compete.
