The NCAA released its multi-year and one-year APR scores for the 2011-12 academic year and for the third straight year the Idaho State student-athletes have set a department record with a one-year score of 983. The 983 is up from the 950 score in the 2010-11 year. The four-year average jumped 13 points to a 950.

Seven of the 15 teams scored a perfect 1,000 for its one-year score.

Football had a perfect mark of 1,000, which was a 97-point improvement from last year and for the first time the program's four-year score has climbed above 900. The four-year score jumped from an 881 to a 913.

Women's golf had their third perfect score in the last four years and propelled their four-year average to 992.

Men's cross country had a one-year score of 1,000 for the third time in the last five years, pushing their four-year score to 983. Men's indoor and outdoor track and field both had perfect scores for the second year in a row, moving their four-year scores to 974 and 980, respectively.

Women's basketball earned its first perfect 1,000 score and for the third year in a row increased its single-year score. The women's basketball program's four-year score is now 947.

Coach Chad Teichert's volleyball program saw their third perfect 1,000 in the last three years and for the fourth time in five years.

Other programs that saw an increase in their scores was men's tennis as their one-year score was 938 and the four-year score is now 936. Women's soccer 's four-year score jumped to a 972 and softball saw a 29 point increase in their one-year score, going from a 942 to a 971. Softball's four-year score improved from an 896 to a 925.

Men's basketball had a one-year jump of 87 points, going from an 865 in 2010-11 to a 952 in the 2011-12 school year.

Overall, eight teams (men's basketball, men's cross country, football, men's tennis, women's basketball, softball, women's indoor and outdoor track and field) made one-year improvements from the 2010-11 year and 13 teams made four-year improvements in their scores.

All Idaho State programs are over 900 and only three are below the four-year score of 930.
