The Preston Golf and Country Club Member Guest Tournament was held Saturday, Sept. 7, with Loyd Field and Brandon Harris winning the championship flight after shooting a 64.
   Low net was Richard Winterbottom and Kerby Petersen with a 60.5. In the first flight, low gross was Lance and Channing Hemsley with a 64. Low net went to Mike Frandsen and Jerry Losee with a 60.9. Bart Simmons and Laurel Simmons won the putting contest with a 27.
   In the Derby, first place went to Lance Hemsley and Dave Kress. Second place was Mike Frandsen and Jerry Losee and third was Loyd Field and Brandon Harris.
Thursday League
   The Preston Golf and Country Club Thursday League played a Chicago this week, and Brad McKnight was first with a plus-five.
   Second was Chad Christensen with plus-two. Third place was tied between Bart Simmons, Loyd Field and Mark Blair with matching plus-ones.
   Skins were won on holes five and nine by Chad Christensen and Stan Cahoon respectively.
Third Annual Bye Bye Birdie Mixed Scramble
   Preston Golf and Country Club hosted the Third Annual Bye Bye Birdie Mixed Scramble sponsored by Stokes Marketplace, with Dave and Pam Seamons winning the low gross in the championship flight with a 68.
   Second place was Mike Cunningham and Kristal Call with a 70. Low net went to Mike and Becky Thalman with a 60.6. Second net was Mark Blair and Debbie McKnight with a 62.8.
   In the first flight, low gross was Mike and Karolee Read with a 72. Second gross was Larry and LouAnn Stokes with a 73. Low net was Jerren and Sheryl Cundick with a 60.1 and second net was Klark and Terri Gailey with a 60.6.
PGA Pro-Mens
   Preston Golf and Country Club hosted a Rocky Mountain Section PGA Pro-Mens presented by Stokes Marketplace, Monday, Sept. 9. In the professional division, John Graham from Sandcreek Golf Course finished with a 67 to take first place.
   Second place went to Bobby Howell of Pocatello with a 68. Cameron Garn, of Rexburg, finished third with a 71.
   Chris Eastman won the Senior Professional Division with a 72.
   The team that included PGA professional Fred Luthy, PGCC members Lance Hemsley, Ronnie Ward and Dave Kress finished first with a 121 team total. Second place team was PGA professional Chris Marx with his team of Lynn Perry, Bob Payne and Gordon Knudsen with a 122 team total. PGA professional Bobby Howell and amateurs Richard Winterbottom, Bart Simmons and Kerby Petersen finished third with a team total of 124.
   In the A flight, there was a tie for low gross between Duane Allen and Skyler Young with matching 69s. Chad Christensen finished second with a 71 and Ronnie Ward and Bracken Webb were fourth with matching 72s.
   In the A flight net division, Richard Winterbottom finished first with a 64. Second was Lynn Perry with a 66. Third was a tie between Loyd Field, Gary Skidmore, Jason Nielsen and Clyde Nelson with 68s.
   In the B flight, low gross went to Bob Payne with a 74. Lance Hemsley finished second with a 78. Bob Cook was third with a 82 and Dave Kress finished fourth with a 83.
   In the B flight net division, Kerby Petersen finished first with a 64. Mike Read finished second with a 65. Kim Berrett and Larry Stokes finished third with matching 67s.
Holes-in-one
   Dustin Marshall hit a hole-in-one on the 13th hole at Highland Golf Course, Sept 14.
   Marshall aced the 135-yard hole with a PW club. It was witnessed by Kevin Marshall, Nate Van Wart and Jeff Howell.
   Hilary Diller aced the 11th hole at Highland, Sept. 10.
   She used a 6-iron for the 130-yard hole-in-one that was witnessed by Tyler Diller.
High-River Ladies
   High-River Ladies played a Texas Scramble at Highland Golf Course last Tuesday, with Beckie Dunn, Joyce Klein, Dolly Morrison and Carol Riley making up the winning team.
   On Thursday, the ladies played Specks at Riverside Golf Course. Jackie Kunze won the first flight, Patty Friedel the second and Teresa Nordquist the third.
Senior Men’s League
   The Senior Men’s League played individual net last Monday at Highland Golf Course, and Richard Mendez claimed first place in the Regular Division with a 62.
   Rick Sands was second with a 63, Dave Lewis, Arden Smith and DuWayne Walker tied for third with matching 65s and Robbie Robertson was sixth with a 66.
   In the Super Senior Division, Gene Wray and Dale Larsen tied for first with 62s. Allan Sonius and Arley Lish tied for second with matching 63s while KF Harrison was fifth with a 64.
   Rick Sands was closest to the pin in the Regular Division while Ron Dunn earned the honors in the Super Senior Division.
