Century's Josh Goodwin played his way into the 4A boys singles semifinals Friday afternoon in Boise. He will face Hunter Levy of Moscow today for a spot in the semis.

    In girls doubles, Olivia and Ella Wathne, also from Century, are also in the semifinals. They take on Lindsey Washburn and Brittney Washburn of Skyview today.

    The Blackfoot mixed doubles team of Tyler Cannon and Meg Matsuura are in the semis, where they take on a duo from Bonneville today.

    As a team, the Blackfoot boys are in third place with 7.5 points while Century is tied for fourth with seven. First-place Columbia has nine. The Diamondback girls are in fifth with seven points, trailing Skyview with 13.

    Highland’s mixed doubles team of Bryson Smith and Andrea Osborn are into the 5A state semifinals after picking up a pair of wins Friday at Timberline High School. They face Curtis Calder and Lindsey Hall of Hillcrest today.

    Two Rams boys doubles teams suffered losses Friday, but both remain alive. Riley Anderson and James Harrison lost in the second round, but will take on Eagle’s Parker Smith and Aurin Bagchi in the consolation bracket.

    Tim Harrison and Thad Hansen also fell in the second round. They face Boise’s Bayard Bergman and Jon Pederson today.

    Because of the effort from Highland’s boys, the team sits in third place with eight points, trailing lead Boise (9.5).
