The Highland baseball team capped a 19-13 season by winning the Class 6A District IV-V-VI Championship.

The rest of the conference remembered that fact.

Nine Rams landed spots on the annual All-6A High Country Conference team, highlighted by five first-team selections.

No Ram was more decorated than first-team catcher Cannon Eddie, who slashed .398 with six home runs, 31 RBI and 10 stolen bases while posting a 1.432 OPS. His patience at the plate was equally impressive — the senior drew 37 walks against just 13 strikeouts. Eddie will continue his career at Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Fellow senior Cooper Colonel was another first-team honoree, a force in the middle of the lineup who drove in 39 runs while batting .381 with a .984 OPS and six stolen bases in 32 games at second base.

In the outfield, first-team selection Andrew Scott was the Rams’ ultimate table-setter. The senior scored 33 runs, stole 12 bases and batted .352 while adding 20 RBI.

On the mound, the Rams placed two more players on the first team. Junior ace Kai Jones went 9-3 with a 3.43 ERA and piled up 96 strikeouts in 89.2 innings . When he wasn’t pitching, he was hitting .370 with 35 RBI. Senior Nash Randall complemented him well, going 6-2 while striking out 54 batters in 52 innings.

The Rams also got four players on the second team in sophomore Ty Dixon, senior Marshall Glenn, sophomore Aiden Ellet and senior Garrett Grayson.
