MALAD - The Snake River girls' basketball team buried Malad early on the way to a 48-28 win on Wednesday.

It was the Panthers' second straight win over the Dragons in a week, after Snake River dominated Malad on Friday, as well.

After one quarter, the Panthers (6-3) led 21-3, and they never let up. Sophomore Eden Van Orden led the charge with 15 points, and Lindsay Van Orden added nine points.

Laci Lavaka led the Dragons (0-7) with 13 points. Malad will host American Falls on Friday in a rematch of a Dec. 4 matchup the Beavers won 34-31.

Snake River travels to Soda Springs on Friday and will look to avenge a 50-46 loss to the Cardinals on Nov. 25.
