SODA SPRINGS - Snake River capitalized on spotty free-throw shooting by Soda Springs to launch a late comeback and win 66-61 in overtime Wednesday.

Soda Springs led 42-30 entering the fourth quarter but hit just 5-of-10 foul shots in the final period. That allowed Snake River to claim the lead, but Cody Scheierman hit a bucket at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.

The Panthers then outscored the Cardinals 10-5 in overtime.

"The kids really competed hard," Soda Springs coach Greg Bergholm said. "It was a good game to watch."

Soda Springs (1-4) next travels to play Marsh Valley tonight.
