Allie Thayne (Highland) – College of Southern Idaho
Highland High School graduate Allie Thayne was named an NJCAA Region 18 second-team selection in her first season with the College of Southern Idaho women’s basketball team.
The freshman forward averaged 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game.
Her season high in points was 21 on 10-of-16 shooting in a 70-62 loss Jan. 12 at Utah State Eastern.
College of Southern Idaho finished the season 19-12.
Emily Packham (Century) – Lower Columbia College
Century High School graduate Emily Packham was one of the best 3-point shooters in the Northwest Athletic Conference this season for the Lower Columbia College women’s basketball team.
The 2019 NWAC Western Region second-teamer shot 43.9 percent from beyond the arc, ranking second in the conference. She also averaged 11.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
Packham had her best performance in a 60-59 home win Jan. 23 against South Puget Sound, when she tallied a season-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting. She was also 3 of 4 from the arc and tallied three steals and three rebounds.
Lower Columbia finished the season 21-10.
Dawson Keller (Pocatello) – Treasure Valley Community College
Pocatello High School graduate Dawson Keller had a crucial play last weekend for the Treasure Valley Community College baseball team.
Keller’s walk-off single gave his team a 3-2 home win over Grays Harbor on Friday. It was one of two hits in four at-bats for Keller in the matchup.
The catcher has compiled seven hits, two extra-base hits, four RBIs, one run and a .259 batting average this season.
TVCC (6-6) plays three games at Chemeketa on Saturday-Sunday.
