BLACKFOOT 21, MADISON 19

Blackfoot continued its run of nailbiting victories Friday, coming back from a 19-0 deficit to shock Madison 21-19 at Blackfoot.

The Bobcats led 19-0 in the second quarter, but Blackfoot got a score back before halftime and then flipped the game on its head in the second half for the win.

Reece Robinson caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Craig Young, and Young and Teegan Thomas each added a 2-yard TD run for the Broncos.

It was the fifth win in a row for the Broncos (6-1, 3-0 4A District 6), who play Friday at Idaho Falls.

PRESTON 51, BURLEY 13

Preston handled business at home Friday, stomping Burley 51-13.

Ty Hyde threw for five touchdowns — three to Cole Harris — on just 10 completions for the Indians, and Andrew Iverson ran for 171 yards.

“It’s good to see the kids not have a letdown,” Preston coach Eric Thorson said. “They practiced well this week, they’re good leaders and they worked hard.”

Preston (5-2, 2-1 4A District 4-5 East Pod) plays Pocatello in Holt Arena next week.

SNAKE RIVER 45, MARSH VALLEY 12

Treyton Young starred for Snake River as the Panthers beat Marsh Valley 45-12 on the road Friday.

Young ran for 213 yards and two touchdowns for Snake River, which led 32-0 at halftime. Armando Garza added two touchdown runs for the Panthers.

“I thought our kids played really well,” Snake River coach Jeb Harrison said. “They came prepared. We played really well on defense. We were able to hold Marsh Valley and jump out to an early lead.”

Hunter Roche had two late touchdown runs, including an 89-yarder, for Marsh Valley (3-4, 0-1 3A District 5), which has a bye week before traveling to American Falls. Snake River (5-2, 1-0 3A District 5) will get the Beavers before then, hosting American Falls next week.

SODA SPRINGS 25, AMERICAN FALLS 21

Soda Springs earned its first win of the season Friday, 25-21 at home over American Falls. No other information was available.

The Cardinals (1-,5 0-2 2A District 5) host Aberdeen on Friday. American Falls (2-4) plays Friday at Snake River.

BEAR LAKE 41, MALAD 14

Bear Lake had no trouble at home Friday, handling Malad 41-14.

Owen Teuscher threw five touchdown passes, while the Bears defense nabbed three interceptions.

“My defense played well,” Bear Lake coach Ryan Messerly said. “The kids played with a lot of heart. Malad’s a good team, so it’s a good win.”

Malad (3-4, 1-2 2A District 5) hosts Aberdeen next week. Bear Lake (6-1, 3-0 2A District 5) goes to West Side.

ABERDEEN 68, MARSING 0

Aberdeen got a chance to celebrate at home Friday, beating Marsing 68-0.

“I was just really pleased with the energy that the kids came out and played with tonight,” Aberdeen coach Jeff Duffin said. “We’ve been working on execution, and they came out and showed it.”

Aberdeen (2-4, 0-2 2A District 5) travels to Soda Springs next week.

LOST RIVERS 56, GRACE 6

It was a tough night for Grace, as the Grizzlies lost 56-6 at home to Lost Rivers on Friday.

Kade Anderson was the one bright spot for Grace, as he recorded 13 tackles on defense and also had a fumble-return touchdown for the Grizzlies’ only score.

“Overall, the team kept battling, the effort was there,” Grace coach Mark Dodge said. “We just need to execute a little better. Lost Rivers, give them credit. They were big, they were fast. Athletes all over the field.”

Grace (4-2, 2-2 1A DI District 4-5-6) travels to Oakley next week.

CLARK- WATERSPRINGS 30, NORTH GEM 14

North Gem fell behind early and couldn’t come back at home, losing to Clark-Watersprings 30-14 on Friday.

Bridger Hatch and Logan Corta ran for touchdowns for North Gem, which went down 20-0 to start the game and 30-8 at halftime.

“We held them scoreless in the second half and dominated,” North Gem coach Dana Strong said. “It was a very, very disappointing loss and it shouldn’t have happened. It was a game of missed opportunities, we were right down on their doorstep time and time again.”

North Gem (3-4, 1-1 1A DII District 5-6) hosts Rockland next Friday.
