    Aug. 3, 1987: After 14 months and $5 million in expenditures, Interstate 15 near McCammon is back to normal. Bannock Paving Company crews widened the interstate from Downey to McCammon, did new grading and repaving of the 10-mile stretch.    

    50 years ago

    Aug. 3, 1962: The Kraft Cheese Company honored two employees at the Colonial Inn in Blackfoot. They are Grant Worth, Pocatello, who has been with the company for 25 years and T. Earl Rowe, McCammon, employed for 20 years. They were presented gifts.

    100 years ago

    Aug. 3, 1912: After the big rainstorm the canal on the east side of Pocatello broke between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. A great torrent of water rushed into the sewer trench. Damage is in the amount of $2,000.
