POCATELLO — A female motorist suffered from a neck injury Tuesday morning when police say the driver of a Subaru Outback did not yield to a stop sign at Bench Road and Olympus Drive.
According to Pocatello Police Department officers, the accident occurred when the Outback collided with a red Ford Fiesta that was traveling southbound on Olympus Drive. The Fiesta flipped and landed on its top in the northbound lanes of traffic, and the Outback spun around and came to rest in the opposite direction.
The driver of the Outback could be cited pending the conclusion of the investigation. The male driver was not seriously injured.
The woman was taken to Portneuf Medical Center to be evaluated. Members of the media are required to provide a first and last name in order to obtain a health status update.
Olympus Drive was temporarily closed to through traffic while a crew worked to clear debris from the roadway.
