Live jazz trio Speakeasy performs in the Yellowstone Lounge, 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, featuring jazz classics from the 1930s in the style of Benny Goodman, with Keith Ward on clarinet/sax, Freddy Gildersleeve on guitar and Tanya Johnson on upright. Admission is free.
Station Square, 200 S. Main St. in Pocatello, hosts open mic night every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.

The Spark of Madness Film Festival is set for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 21-23, at the Bengal Theater and the nearby Pond Student Union Ballroom. Tickets are $13 per day or $23 for all three days. The lineup includes horror, comedy and documentaries, with a focus on eccentric people and artists, with many films and filmmakers from the Rocky Mountain region. The Field of Heroes will be open to the public 24 hours a day from 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, through the closing ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Memorial Day, May 25. Friday and Saturday, May 22-23
Pro rodeo is returning to Pocatello with the inaugural Bannock County PRCA Rodeo on Friday and Saturday, May 22-23, at the Bannock County Events Complex on Fairground Drive. Friday night is Family Night — kids 12 and under get in free with one paid adult ticket. Gates open at 6 p.m. with the performance starting at 7 p.m. Saturday’s performance starts at 2 p.m. and will be followed by an Indian relay race. General admission adult tickets are $25 and kids tickets are $10. Advance tickets are available at bannockcountyprcarodeo.com.
Club Charley’s, 331 E. Center St. in Pocatello, will host As Seen On TV Friday and Saturday, May 22-23, featuring live performances, drinks and nightlife. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the show beginning at 9 p.m. each night. Booth seating is $20 and table seating is $15. Organizers encourage guests to reserve tickets in advance at www.charleys.club.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through October at Lookout Point in downtown Pocatello.
The Crafter’s Market takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday inside Station Square, 200 S. Main St., in Historic Downtown Pocatello. Visitors can shop a rotating selection of local vendors offering jewelry, art, home décor, plants and more, with new makers featured each week.
2025 Shady Grove Music Fest headliners stop.drop.rewind will perform live starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at First National Bar, 232 W. Center St. in Pocatello. Local bands LOOT and Modern Methods will also perform. $5 cover.
Monday, May 25
The Pocatello POW*MIA Awareness Association will be commemorating Memorial Day this year with the 23rd Annual Idaho Thunder Run on Monday, May 25. The ride will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Century High School and go through Downey, Lava Hot Springs, Chubbuck and finish at the Field of Heroes at Century High School. The cost is $10 per bike.
The historic town of Chesterfield in Southeast Idaho will hold its season opening on Monday, May 25. Events start at 9 a.m. with a 5K run and continue throughout the day. To view the schedule, visit historicchesterfield.org.
Live horse racing returns to Pocatello Downs, 10588 Fairgrounds Road, at 1 p.m. Monday, May 25, featuring the Derby Dog Dash. Admission is $5, with free entry for children 12 and under.
Curbside Cravings is open from 4 to 8 p.m. every Monday through September at Lookout Point in downtown Pocatello. There will be a variety of food trucks.
