Uncertain future

POCATELLO - George Casper walked across a ratty gray carpet bearing Idaho State University's logo. He pointed to a row of lockers covered by lumpy layers of orange and black paint.

Football gear filled the compartments behind the screened metal doors fastened with combination padlocks.

"These are like old junior high lockers, and all the other (colleges) I know of have nicer ones," he said.
