IDAHO FALLS — Two individuals were injured in a car crash that occurred around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 49th South and 15th East.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office deputies further indicated that the driver of a 1996 Honda Accord, traveling west on 49th South, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by a 1998 Ford F-150 that was headed south on 15th East.

The Honda, driven by 25-year-old Jessica Rhoades, reportedly spun off the road, while the truck rolled and landing on its top. Deputies say the driver of the truck was 59-year-old Sylvia Wilson. Wilson had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Both Idaho Falls residents were transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Hospital officials indicated Thursday that Wilson and Rhoades were treated and released.

BCSO deputies were assisted by those with the Idaho Falls Fire Department.
