Cable One subscribers who enjoy Turner programming can once again view such channels following an announcement last Friday that an agreement between the two entities had been reached.

  Specifically, Cable One’s carriage of Turner channels CNN, CNN en Espanol, HLN, Turner Classic Movies, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, truTV and Boomerang have been restored. The channels went off air on Oct. 1.

 "We're pleased to be able to restore these channels to our customers and appreciate their patience and loyalty,” said Cable One Chief Executive Officer Tom Might.

  The process of restoring the Turner channels began immediately. However, it may take several days to complete.

 In addition, it was announced last Friday that an agreement had been reached with DirecTV and the KIFI News Group.

 KIFI programming, with a studio based in Idaho Falls, was pulled from the airwaves on Oct. 9. The station’s carriage agreement with DirecTV had expired on Sept. 30.

   “We are pleased to announce that KIFI - Local News 8 and The CW East Idaho has reached an agreement with DirecTV for carriage of our signal,” said Michael A. Shiverdecker, promotion director for the KIFI News Group. “KIFI and The CW will be returned to the DirecTV service today (10/25). We thank our viewers for their patience and support.”

   The KIFI News Group agreement with DirecTV includes CW East Idaho programming, which has also been restored.
