POCATELLO — The Greenway Grind running event is slated for Saturday, July 6 with the starting point located at the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce parking lot.

The “5k Colour Run” requires that all participants dress in white as they run through a small portion of Old Town Pocatello before hitting the Portneuf Greenway.

“It’s going to be an explosion of fun and color,” said Portneuf Greenway Executive Director Tamara Code. “Runners will have a colored cornstarch mixture thrown at them as they run past spectators.”

The pre-event registration cost is $20, per individual, or $65 for a team of four.  Registration will be available the day of the event starting at 7:30 a.m. at 324 S. Main St. Runners will receive a three day pass valued at $15 for The Biggest Show in Idaho’s Music Festival and Extravaganza.

All proceeds from the Greenway Grind will support maintenance and growth efforts associated with the greenway.
