IDAHO FALLS — The Tautphaus Park Zoo received a donation of which will go towards the Otter exhibit remodel, according to zoo officials.

    Specifically, the Idaho Community Foundation on behalf of the Rogers and Hazel Rose Fund donated $2,543 to the zoo at the end of March.

    “This was a very unexpected donation but a most welcome one.” said Beth Rich, zoo superintendent.

    The zoo is home to over 400 animals of 100-plus different species exhibited in a variety of naturalistic displays.

       The Tautphaus Park Zoo, founded in 1935, is dedicated to preserving wildlife and educating and entertaining zoo guests. It is located in Tautphaus Park off South Blvd.
