Snow glazes roads

Spring has its first robin; autumn has its first turning leaves. The signs that winter has finally arrived in Southeast Idaho have come in the form of balky-starting cars, numerous road accidents and the anticipated opening of area winter outdoor recreation areas.

The snow and icy conditions were bad news for area law enforcement agencies, which were kept busy early Tuesday afternoon responding to multiple vehicle slideoffs on local roads and highways, particularly on Interstate 15 between Pocatello and Fort Hall.
