BLACKFOOT — A 20-year-old Shelley man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges in Bingham County for allegedly driving under the influence early Sunday morning, and resisting officers when they tried to arrest him. 

Bingham County Sheriff Craig T. Rowland said Jordan Thean Warner’s vehicle became stuck on the railroad tracks in the Shelley area shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday. 

Rowland said the man had been drinking and didn’t cooperate with officers when they tried to arrest him. 

“He was intoxicated and resisted arrest and tried to hit one of the officers,” Rowland said. 

Warner is facing a felony charge of assault or battery upon certain personnel for the alleged incident, according to court records. He is also facing misdemeanor counts for driving under the influence, having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle and resisting or obstructing officers.
