POCATELLO — Pocatello Second Saturday Contra Dance is Dec. 8 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 309 N. Garfield Ave. Callers are Teri Peterson and Eric Limbach. Band is Wild Potatoes, a traditional Irish band from Idaho Falls. 

Admission is $6, beginners always welcome, arrive at 7:30 p.m. for the beginners’ workshop. 

This is a smoke- and alcohol-free environment. You can come alone or bring a partner. Light-weight clothes and soft-soled shoes recommended. Children welcome, but little ones must be supervised.
