Portneuf Medical Center has treated numerous cases of flu and other seasonal illnesses. In an effort to keep our patients safe, Portneuf Medical Center will be following these guidelines for anyone coming into the hospital during the flu season.
Visitors:
No Visitors under the age of 18 (see exceptions)
No visitors except immediate family, significant other, caregiver, and clergy
No visitors who exhibit any flu like symptoms (Cough, Cold, Congestion, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea)
No visitors who have been exposed to someone who is known to have the flu currently (Excluding the visiting family member of flu patient).
Patients:
All patients exhibiting Flu symptoms need to be immediately masked on entry to the facility and remained so in all public areas including public ancillary areas such as The Cancer Center, Radiology, Doctors’ offices, and outpatient testing areas. Once patients are isolated from the public the mask maybe removed (such as inpatient acute stay rooms).

Exceptions: to under 18 age restrictions.
Mother baby area- all under age 18 visitors must wear a mask.
End of life stage patients- all under age 18 visitors must wear a mask.
