AMERICAN FALLS — Power County Hospital’s Pink Ladies Auxiliary was created in 1963 with a handful of charter members and they have been providing volunteer services at facility ever since. Â
In celebration of its first 50 years of service, the auxiliary will host an open house for the public on Sunday, April 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. Â
Over the years the auxiliary has donated thousands of hours and dollars to improve the quality of life for the patients and residents at Power County Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility.
The funds raised by the auxiliary have been used to purchase items to enhance the residents’ lives and help purchase equipment for the facility, in addition to supporting their ongoing scholarship program to help local students going into the medical field.
The auxiliary extends a special invitation to all former volunteers and employees to come and share a memory of their time at the hospital. Scrapbooks from their first 50 years will be available. Refreshments will be served. Â
The event will take place at Power County Hospital, located at 510 Roosevelt Street, in American Falls.
