    The Kelly Canyon Ski Resort and Pebble Creek Ski Area are set to open for the season this weekend.

    The opening day for Kelly Canyon in Ririe is set for this Friday, Dec. 21. Their hours are 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

    On Saturday, expert skiers and snowboarders are invited to maneuver the Inkom terrain as the Skyline Lift will be in motion.

    Pebble Creek will be open both Saturday and Sunday with lift ticket prices on sale for $30.

    The upper mountain has up to 38 inches of snow at the Outback marker. Although, the snow level at Pebble Creek decreases above the lodge.

    There will be no grooming this weekend, according to a news release.

    The Inkom resort will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, only to re-open for  the season on Wed., Dec. 26. At that time, both the Aspen and Skyline lifts will be in operation with terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.

    The following area ski resorts opened ahead of the Thanksgiving Day holiday: The Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley, Idaho, the Grand Targhee Resort in Alta, Wyo., the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, Wyo., the Big Sky Resort in Montana and the Alta Ski Area in Utah.

    The Pomerelle Mountain Resort located near Albion opened on Dec. 8.
