POCATELLO — If a business owner’s debit and credit card system goes haywire, the individual very well may have to post a sign on the front door encouraging customers to come back the following day due to a technical error.

    Such a situation is not ideal, which is one of the reasons why Prolific Business Solutions owner Aaron Hansen believes his business is growing.

    “I get to know them (his customers) and if they have a problem, I will rush over and help them out,” Hansen explains. “I not only set the systems up, but I also maintain them.”

    The Chubbuck resident currently provides services for 200-300 people, most of which are small business owners. His customer base encompasses all of Eastern Idaho, from Preston to Rexburg, and everywhere else in between.

    “Some of my clients do not provide such a service, or aren’t happy with their current debit and credit card service provider,” Hansen says. “Others like the fact that I’m a local.”

    Hansen recently moved into an office inside the Pocatello-based Omni building, 275 S. 5th Ave., Suite 265. He co-owns the business with his wife, Shannalee.

    For the last two and a half years, the couple have been providing the following services: Credit and debit card processing, gift cards and loyalty programs, payroll services, cash advances and check processing services.

    “Our check service guarantees businesses their money even if the check is bad,” Hansen says. “The business owner gets their money and then we go after the check. We help take that risk away.”

    Entrepreneurs who have a storefront, who operate an online only establishment or who compile some sort of catalogue can tap into the service.

    “We also set up ‘shopping carts’ for online-based businesses,” Hansen adds.

    The 27-year-old has been a member of the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce group for two years now. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held last week in honor of his new office space.

    Prolific Business Solutions is one of the nation’s largest business service providers, according to Hansen. He owns and operates one of the company’s four regional branches.

    “I currently have a representative in the Soda Springs area and am looking to add another person to the team,” Hansen says. “Our other branches are located in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Baltimore.”

    Hansen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Idaho State University. He studied abroad in Uruguay at some point during his college career.

    “I speak Spanish and Portuguese,” Hansen says. “I didn’t plan on applying this knowledge here at Prolific Business Solutions, but it certainly helps. I have several Spanish speaking clients.”
