Music for the Masseys benefit poster

POCATELLO — The Music for the Masseys benefit concert has been scheduled to raise money for a local family who is dealing with the recent loss of two loved ones.

The concert will be held on Saturday, January 19 at the First National Bar, 232 W. Center St. in Pocatello. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the cost of admission is a $5 donation per person.

There will be live music by local bands Catagory 3, Savin Seymor, Hellfire Club and Tall Tales of Truth. There will also be prizes and a raffle.

All money raised will go to Mark and Karrin Massey. Mark’s sister, Ann Marie, was murdered in her Salt Lake City, home on November 4, 2012. Then, a week later, his mother, Velma also passed away.

Mark and his wife Karrin are raising funds to help pay for Ann Marie and Velma’s final expenses as well as to be able to travel to Utah to attend the court proceedings and see that justice is served for Ann Marie.

This event is for ages 21 and over.
