IDAHO FALLS — Cory R. Caldwell, 43, of Idaho Falls, was arrested Thursday and charged with rape.

    According to the Idaho Falls Police report, officers were called to the 600 block of Park Avenue around 2 a.m. after receiving a 9-1-1 call. Authorities indicated that dispatchers could hear the female telling someone to stop with their sexual advances.

    Upon arrival, officers say they found a man, later identified as Caldwell, and a 47-year-old female whom he had pinned down to the ground.

   The female was taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries sustained when she was pushed down, according to police. It was further indicated that Caldwell and the female were acquaintances who had spent some time together prior to the incident.  

   Caldwell was taken the Bonneville County Jail.
