The National Weather Service of Pocatello has declared a Lake Wind Advisory for the American Falls Reservoir in effect until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening.

    According to the NWS, a low pressure disturbance will cross Southeast Idaho through today and bring scattered rain showers, isolated thunderstorms and breezy winds to the American Falls Reservoir. Winds will increase to 15 to 25 miles per hour from the west/southwest and remain breezy throughout the day Thursday.

    A lake wind advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
