IDAHO FALLS — Kristopher Walton, the founder of Kristopher L. Walton and Associates in Idaho Falls, has been elected to the Nominating Committee of the Association of Social Work Boards.

    Elections were held at the association’s November business meeting in Springfield, Illinois. Walton will serve on the board for two-years.

    In addition, Walton is a member of the Idaho Board of Social Work Examiners, as well as being the author of a book titled “Navigating Your Mind: Achieving a Life of Peace, Joy and Happiness.” He has been in practice since 1993.    

    The ASWB is the non-profit association of social work regulatory boards for the United States and Canada. Members derive from a total of 49 states, along with Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and all ten Canadian provinces. The association owns and maintains the licensing examinations used in most member jurisdictions and is a central resource for information on the legal regulation of social work.

    ASWB’s mission is to strengthen protection of the public by providing support and services to the social work regulatory community in order to advance competent and ethical practices.
