IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho Falls man was sentenced to prison on Monday for charges of lewd conduct with a child, forcible sexual penetration by use of a foreign object and possession of sexually exploitive material.
Keith William Bizauskas will serve at least 15 years in prison for the lewd conduct charge with the possibility of 30, said Daniel Clark with the Bonneville County Prosecutor’s Office. Bizauskas was also sentenced to at least 10 years with the possibility of 20 for the forcible sexual penetration charge and five to 10 years for possession of sexually exploitive material.
Bizauskas will also to pay thousands of dollars in fines to the court and the victim, Clark said.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in July of 2012. Clark said it involved a 10-year-old girl.
Authorities originally charged Bizauskas with possession of child pornography because the girl had been drugged during the incident and they were waiting for her to be able to tell them what happened, Clark said. Additional charges were then added at that time.
Clark said the victim’s family was pleased with the sentence on Monday.
“They were pleased with the sentence and we were happy with that,” Clark said, adding that he also felt it was appropriate for the case. “His conduct here was very serious and we (needed to) treat it as such.”
