Simpson

IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho Falls man was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated battery against a child.

Leroy Simpson, 29, is accused of hurting his friend’s son. The name of the 2-year-old boy is not being released to the public at this time.

According to the Idaho Falls Police report, the investigation began in February of 2013 when the boy’s mother took him to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he was treated for bruises on his face and torso.

Furthermore, detectives say they learned that multiple people, including the boy’s parents and Leroy Simpson, lived together at a residence in the 200 block of South Water Street in Idaho Falls.

The boy was since been placed in the state’s custody.

Simpson was taken to the Bonneville County Jail.
